Monochrome Portraits 14 to 16 (#128133) - $159.00
About this Camp
Learn the fundamentals of portrait-painting using a striking, monochromatic palette.
In this four-day camp, you will draw a portrait from a photo reference, and then paint it in oil using a dramatic monochromatic black and white scheme - all while learning about proportion, symmetry, dimension, light, shadow, hue, value and chroma. Instructor Amy Gibson, an accomplished artist who specializes in three-dimensional, hyperrealistic portraits, will guide you with an easy-to-follow, step-by-step approach. Course topics include: how to draw using a grid, how to create notan studies, methods for blocking in the face and exercises to teach you how to control, mix and blend the oil paint.
This camp is perfect for a beginning art student who has always wanted to build confidence in drawing and painting the face.
