Summary

Explore the vibrant history and science of craft beer through this hands-on course taught by local experts and business owners. In this course you will be introduced to the basics of craft beer, including ingredients, beer styles and the history and evolution of the brewing process through a mixture of lecture, brewery visits, tastings and interactive conversations with experience craft beer professionals. Classes will be held at a local brewery where students will be able to see first-hand how operations work and what to look for when tasting and discussing craft beer. An intro to the brewing process will be included inside a working brew house. This class is perfect for both beer enthusiasts and those who work in restaurant or hospitality industry settings. Available to students 21 and over.
