Private Pilot Ground School


Summary

The course will provide instruction in general airplane knowledge, weather, regulations, and flight planning. This course prepares individuals successfully complete training and receive the F.A.A. Private Pilot license. Course work includes aerodynamics, performance, meteorology, the airspace system, commercial operation, and instrument flight theory. Student will be prepared to test for F.A.A. Private Pilot. PLEASE NOTE: According to Transportation Security Administration (TSA) guidelines, students must provide proof of U.S. citizenship or present an appropriate visa to obtain training. The following documents must be brought to the first class meeting for review by the instructor. If U.S. citizen: U.S. passport OR one of the following: birth certificate; certification of birth abroad with raised seal; certificate of U.S. citizenship with raised seal; certificate of registration; or U.S. naturalization certificate with raised seal, accompanied by government-issued picture ID. If non-U.S. citizen: appropriate visa. Student will also be required to register with TSA, submit fingerprints and photo, and pay additional $130 processing fee to the TSA.
