Marine Captains Course

The course is designed to familiarize the student with the laws and structure of the Coast Guard licensing system, particularly with regard to certifying a candidate's eligibility for a license. Students will then be instructed in proper application procedures for the license. The student will be presented with material for which he/she will be responsible when taking the exam for licenses to carry passengers for hire on vessels up to 100 Gross Tons. Material will include Rules of the Road, navigation, seamanship, and marine safety. Student will prepare for the exam using actual U.S. Coast Guard license exam multiple-choice questions and answers.
