Summary
This course is designed to provide instruction related to the core skills used by flooring installers in residential and commercial settings. Topics included: preparing surfaces, measuring, cutting, and installing various floor coverings (carpet, tile, wood, vinyl) ensuring quality finishes by removing old flooring, prepping subfloors, using hand/power tools, adhering to safety, and maintaining clean work areas, requiring strong attention to detail and craftsmanship for functional, attractive results. Upon completion, students should be able to measure, layout, install, identify repairs needed and correct flooring issues for carpet, hardwood, tile, and LVP floors.
